THE CORE WORKFLOW

From a question to a lasting note

Ask in Chat

Choose a chat mode and ask about anything you want to understand, practise, compare, or remember. When useful, the AI may offer a few selectable answers or next steps; select one or type your own response. To attach a JPG, PNG, or WebP image, first select a vision-capable model for Read image in Settings → Prompts.

Use an action

Run a built-in output such as Make a note, or a Transform chat action such as Summarize or Highlight. A transform can append its answer or replace the conversation, with one-step undo.

Shape the note

Review the visual draft, edit its content and components, choose the right category, then save it.

Review later

Open saved notes from Notes, filter by category or tag, revisit older versions, and mark how the lesson felt.

Use learning spaces

Separate subjects

Each space owns its notes, chats, variables, categories, prompts, modes, actions, tags, reviews, and learning context.

Know where you are

The active space appears below the Dipinio name. It is a label, not a selector, so it never crowds the main navigation.

Manage and share

Select a space card on Notes to activate it, or open Settings → Spaces to manage and export spaces. Importing a template copies its learning setup without personal notes, chats, or provider credentials.

Guide the AI

Learning context becomes General chat’s main instruction. Variables add reusable typed facts automatically or through the Chat composer.

Categories

Browse Notes through space, category, and subcategory cards. Use the breadcrumbs below search to go back. Selecting your space activates it for Chat and settings.

Tags

Tags find related notes across categories in the current space. Remove the tag filter or use its back arrow to return.

Versions

Each saved edit creates a version. Open Version history from a note to revisit an earlier snapshot.

Search covers all your notes at Spaces, the selected space, or the selected category and its subcategories. Type @username or select @ to browse public spaces and categories without changing your active space.

YOU CONTROL ACCESS

Share a note

Private

Only you can access the note. Every new note starts here.

Link only

Anyone with the secure link can read free notes or preview paid notes. It is not listed publicly, and regenerating the link disables the old one.

Public

Free notes are readable without login; paid notes show a public description and copy price. Set your permanent public username in Profile first.

In Edit note, set Price (USD) and Description below Category; US$0 means free. Readers sign in to copy the displayed version into their chosen learning space. Paid copies use USD credit. Copies start Private at US$0 and remain independent when the original changes or is deleted. Allow editing and Allow publishing in the editor control what recipients can do with each version; buyer edits inherit restrictions. Each version is a separate purchase. Purchases join one note. Blue V-number circles are author versions; purple circles are your edits. Outlined blue versions open a preview and price before purchase; filled versions switch your saved snapshots. Updates are never automatic. Copied notes show a Copied badge; shared previews offer free restoration of purchased versions. Copy fees go entirely to the app; authors receive no earnings.

Ask for a quiz from a note or topic. Choose an answer to see the correct option, then open Answer explanation to understand why. Batches show one question at a time, with your progress and score. Use Back and Next to review your answers.

Flashcards

Ask for flashcards to practise recall. Click a card or press Enter or Space to reveal its answer. Rate it Forgot, Hard, Good, or Easy to advance, use Back and Next to browse, or select the restart icon to practise the deck again.

Fullscreen

Select the fullscreen icon beside Exclude from AI history to focus on a quiz or flashcards. The app header stays visible and your progress is preserved. Select Exit fullscreen or press Escape to return to Chat.

Review global AI totals; each request shows its source space and that space’s color.

Keep different subjects independent. The active space controls the notes, chats, categories, modes, prompts, Chat tool assignments, actions, and learning context you see.

Get independent notes and a learning setup. Track study progress in your own copy.

Reusable typed values for the active learning space. Automatic values accompany every chat; manual values are selected in the composer. Never store passwords or API keys here.

Keys stay on the backend. When editing, leave blank to keep the saved key for the same provider host.

Use the server’s Streamable HTTP MCP URL. Tool descriptions and argument schemas are discovered automatically.
Credentials stay on the backend. When editing, leave blank to keep the credential for the same URL and authentication. Authenticated connections require HTTPS.Supports public remote servers over Streamable HTTP. Local stdio, private network servers, legacy SSE endpoints, and OAuth sign-in are not supported yet.

Configure built-in outputs and reusable text transformations. Choose which actions each chat mode uses in Settings → Modes.

Changes affect only this preview until you save. Note content stays unchanged. Shared notes use your reading preferences, or defaults when signed out.

In Modes → Step 0, App guide → About chooses whether this saved guide is included in Chat AI requests. It is on by default. Restoring the default changes the draft until you save.

Delete all spaces, notes, chats, categories, custom prompts, modes, actions, and variables, then create a new blank learning space. Your profile, location, time zone, providers, credentials, connections, usage history, and purchased note/space ownership will remain.

Current prompts

Edit reusable prompts and their model. Modes and actions choose from this library.

Use space variables: Add a placeholder such as {{exam_date}} to a Chat or Action prompt. Copy the exact placeholder from Settings → Variables.

Pipeline variables: Chat and Action prompts running in a pipeline can use {{step_number}}, {{step_name}}, {{user_message}}, {{chat_history}}, and {{previous_output}}. Reference an earlier step with {{steps.1.output}}, or its structured action result with {{steps.2.result}}.

Combine answer and feedback: A step selects one input source, but its prompt can include other completed outputs. For example, set an improvement step’s input to Step 2 (Review), then write: Improve this answer: {{steps.1.output}}. Use the review feedback supplied as your input. Return only the improved answer.

Check references: Step numbers include prompts and actions and follow the current order. Review numbered placeholders after reordering. Only reference earlier steps that run on every path reaching this prompt; skipped outputs are unavailable. These references are inserted into the prompt’s system instructions, while the selected input is supplied separately.
